HER MARK STUDIO
I'm in the middle of a little business pivot right now, (launching a website template shop so soon!). In the meantime, I'm winding down my public-facing copywriting services, but I'll be keeping them open for collaborations with designers who offer custom website design.
@HERMARK.STUDIO
For clients who need a one-pager or multiple pages of SEO-optimized copy (plus titles and meta descriptions). I'll also handle the overall content strategy + content site mapping.
For your clients who DIY their copy or want hands-on support and guidance before they hand it over to you, I can offer a supportive container to edit and refine their draft.
Yep! I can do these too, either as a standalone offer or as an add-on to a larger website scope.
More happy clients, because they'll have a site that reflects the fullest expression of their brand.
More impressive portfolio pieces, since you won't be embarrassed by bad copy (plus you'll have stellar testimonials to go with!)
Less scope creep and no more late nights filling the gaps in your client's half-assed copy draft.
Shorter project timelines and a smoother design process since I write copy in ready-to-upload wireframes.
A collaborative relationship with a legit (+ fun and friendly!) businsess partner who won't ghost you halfway through a project.
As a creative, my mission is to help service-based female founders launch websites that are pretty and smart, so they can connect with their ideal audience and grow their business.
A sampling of the kinds of industries and businesses I've written copy for.
What my clients and collaborators love about me:
"The work Elaine did to help me develop my brand voice went way beyond copy.
I really felt like I had a supportive partner in the earliest stages of my business, which is huge."
"There have been very few copywriters who I trust implicitly. Elaine is one of them.
She knows how to ask the right questions. She knows where to lean in to emotion and where to lean into logic."
"You knocked this copy out of the park. I'm really excited with what you presented.
You did such a great job with a rather complex nuanced topic and made it personal and clear."
"I was worried that my sales page was unclear and uninspiring.
I'd overlooked a few things and am thankful that Elaine used her expert eye to point them out."
Questions & Answers
I think of myself as a strategist first, writer second. It's not just coming up with the words, it's about finding the right ones that position the client as the obvious solution to their ideal client's problem. It's also about guiding the user through the site, leading them to take the next step.
what makes you different from other copywriters?
As soon as possible! That way, you and I can put our heads together to talk about how many pages we think their site will need etc. My quotes are based on the number of pages and overall complexity of a website, so I like to get a sense for that early so I can provide and accurate estimate. If your client wants copy, we can have a call as a group to chat through their needs and align on scope.
i have a client who is interested in hiring a copywriter, when is the best time to bring you in?
The most important thing is a clear sense of who they are and who they want to work with. I find the most successful projects are the ones where the client really *knows* who their ideal client is, but who they don't want to work with is just as important. The best website copy speaks directly to the ideal person while subtly turning off the people who wouldn't be a good fit, and it takes a level of confidence and comfort in order to do that.
what does my client need to have in order to work with you?
Nope! Think of it as a collaborative referral kind of thing. We each charge our full fee and have our own contract with the client. That way, we both get to include all the contract provisions that work best for our business and no one has to carry the burden of managing a subcontract. But we still work closely and ensure smooth hand-off so the client has a seamless experience (which is value-added for them!)
is this a white label partnership?
